Peppermint Bark Martini Recipe

Peppermint Bark Martini

How to make this delicious holiday cocktail that everyone will love!

What would the holidays be without a fun, festive and delicious cocktail?

Whether you're enjoying this festive drink at home with your family, or serving a large group of guests, this Peppermint Bark Martini recipe is quick and easy to make and totally delicious.

This Peppermint Bark Martini only requires two ingredients and a shaker (you could even do it without the shaker, but in that case be sure to add a very light splash of water to compensate for the lack of ice/shaking).

Like all martinis, this one is best served chilled and can even be made as a batch if you want to take it to a holiday party or simply don’t want to have to continually mix drinks. If you do make a batch, be sure to add a splash of water to the mix to compensate for the lack of shaking. Keep it well chilled for optimal enjoyment.

When you use peppermint vodka, you may think that it is going to be overwhelmingly pepperminty. But it’s not. You can also garnish with a candy cane on the rim or even some crushed candy cane bits on top, but I tend to avoid that. Anything beyond a candy cane on the rim looks great in photos, but makes it much more challenging for guests to actually enjoy the drink.

It is for the same reason that I don't rim the glasses with melted chocolate and crushed candy cane. Sure, it looks good in photos, but it makes it very hard to actually enjoy the drink. If you do want to rim your martini glass, I suggest going with a half rim technique. At least then you can enjoy the drink from the clean side of the glass.

Peppermint Bark Martini Variations

This recipe is for those of us who really love peppermint. However, a couple of other variations on this drink can include substituting the peppermint vodka with vanilla vodka (perfect if you just want a hint of peppermint), or with chocolate vodka (if you want to bring forward more of the bark component).

No matter how you enjoy it, the Peppermint Bark Martini is sure to be a crowd pleaser and a very festive cocktail for your holiday enjoyment.
